As part of our new identity as W Couturier, we bring you our new modern and fresh line, Collection. This new line is part of our effort to introduce and pass on our luxury craftsmanship and knowledge to young men starting off their careers and indeed, life journey. It’s a bold but much needed step – but here we are, disrupting the market by extending our voice into the future from a foundation in the past.
Think of it as a rite of passage – it takes new or soon to be graduates through the transition of leaving behind their youth as they begin to brave the big world ahead – but now armed with the confidence of a sharp and identity-chiseling suit. We believe a suit can help define who you are, especially at an age where you’re still figuring out who and where you want to be.
Collection is all about trusting your instincts and going with what feels right to you. We’re not about taking away your autonomy by putting you in a ‘faceless’ suit, in fact, we’re doing the opposite: helping you become the master of your own destiny and design by breathing new life and style into a suit you create.
We want to dispel this idea that suits have to be homogenous and one-dimensional. We have a vast range of print play and traditional elements in our fabric selections, so you can experiment with what speaks to you and expresses who you are or what you want to become, and we’re there every step of the way to help guide you down the path of endless choice and design options for this next critical phase in your life. Don’t be afraid to experiment with your suits and create fun and characterful elements of surprise. The whole grey suit, white tie – matchy matchy – is so 1950s – so we encourage you to rewrite the rules and mix it up with a neon lining for a bright splash of color or a pair of Converse or similar kicks.
If we could assign Collection to a particular profile, we’d say Collection suits are made for the young man who strives to be the next innovator and pioneering entrepreneur. He’s bold, brave, ambitious and assertive, and he certainly doesn’t take no for an answer.
